As well as providing the above services, we work closely alongside various architects, structural engineers, interior designers, services consultants, party wall surveyors, geotechnicians, and the like. We also work with many local contractors. We can therefore provide suitable contacts for all aspects of design and construction throughout your project.

Who We Are

We are a small, family run, independent surveying practice covering South-East Cornwall and beyond.

TIM DEAKIN, BSc(Hons.). Quantity Surveying: Practice Proprietor, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor

Over 35 years experience as a surveyor in the property and construction industry. Tim has the advantage of having worked on 'both sides of the fence' - for both clients and contractors - and so knows many useful 'tricks of the trade', giving advance preparedness for the numerous potential problems likely to be encountered with property and building projects.

TOM DEAKIN: Assistant Surveyor, Estimator

Tim's son. Returned to South-East Cornwall in 2017 and immediately leapt to the fore to tackle our increasing workload.

JEANETTE DEAKIN: Office Administrator

Tim's wife. Joined the practice in 2012. Jeanette also volunteers as treasurer for the Looe RNLI.
